Quotables #10

Why it speaks to me:  Sometimes those life-changing moments are obvious, and even in the moment you can recognize, wow, it's happening.  But I think a lot of times you don't realize how important a moment is until you get the benefit of hindsight.

Why it speaks to me:  This quote has so much truth in it.  It's easy to love someone when things are going great and everyone's happy.  It can be hard to love someone when they've made a mistake, or done something to upset you, or they're just not being a very nice person.  But that's what love is, being by someone's side through all of life's ups and downs.

Why it speaks to me:  I feel like I could relate a lot to this when I was in high school.  Sure, my life wasn't perfect, but really, nothing absolutely terrible happened to me; at the same time, not too many truly amazing things did, either.  I was just a regular, run-of-the-mill teenager.  But who doesn't dream of finally doing something great?

Which of these is your favorite?

  1. Obviously the 2nd one is my fave, because I am all about that pure love, like the way your pet loves you.

    1. Yes! It's really hard for people to love like that, I think. You can ask someone to love you like that, but you have to be willing to do it for them, too!

  2. Love these posts! The first quote is awesome and yes, so true! Sometimes you just don't know how important something might be.

And the Love Me quote is also so true. Relationships can be hard work and a lot of love and effort is required to keep at it.

And yes! A triumph over mediocrity! Let's do that!

  3. Oh these are fantastic choices! I couldn't even pick just one, haha. I think I'd pick the third one, because I have read and really enjoyed that book and could really relate to that quote in high school, too :) <3

  6. I like your first quote the most because we so often miss the little things while waiting for something huge to happen.

  7. I love the second quote the best. It is very true. That is why I love my hubby so much. He has loved me through my worst and trust me it was bad. Thank god for him sometimes.

    Great post Angela!

  8. I love all these quotes, but the first speaks to my soul SO MUCH and I completely agree. There are things that we do in that moment that end up leaving to something else, and it could be something really significant.
