I took a little blogging break at the end of March, but now I'm back! March was such a busy month! Our Project Linus Chapter held its annual Make a Blanket Day, so we went to help out for a couple hours. Our group was able to make or collect, label, and bag 120 blankets, ready to be delivered! We, of course, saw Captain Marvel. While it wasn't my favorite of the Marvel movies, it made me even more excited for Endgame - only a couple more weeks! St. Patrick's Day is one holiday that Tom gets into every year, so he made his corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes (with some Guinness to drink) and we had some family over. Our new furniture finally arrived! It's so nice, and we are terrified of ruining it. No more eating dinner on the couch! I know nothing about men's college basketball, but that didn't stop me from submitting a March Madness bracket and joining the office group. Unfortunately, the two teams I picked for the finals have already been eliminated, so I have basically no chance of winning.
I actually won four giveaways this month! That must be some sort of record for me. Thank you to Christina from Confessions of a Book Addict for an ARC of A Touch of Gold and Jennifer - Tar Heel Reader for a copy of Blood Orange, in conjunction with the publisher. Thank you to Dani at The Restricted Section for a $20.00 Amazon gift card that I used to order The Girl He Used to Know at her recommendation. The last was The Perfect Girlfriend from Goodreads, and I'm still waiting for that one.

How was your March? Did you do anything fun?
Welcome back! :) Looks like you did a lot of awesome books last month. Had you been rereading CS Lewis? I always seem to peter out on his books for some reason. Last time I stopped at The Magicians Nephew. Also congrats on all the Giveaway wins! That's amazing!! :) Hope you have an awesome April and I hope to be around a lot more too! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Di! I just reread the last book, because I hadn't read that one in awhile.
DeleteSounds like March was an action-packed month, but you still managed to fit in a lot of books! I didn't blog much at all last month and am hoping to do a little better in April.
ReplyDeleteWith my new lunch hour, I seem to get a lot more reading done!
DeleteCongrats on winning 4 giveaways! That’s impressive. I also know nothing about basketball, so I’m just ignoring everybody’s nonstop conversations about it. Happy April!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thank you! Other than watching for the scores, I haven't really been paying attention!
DeleteYou had a great reading month, and wow on winning so many giveaways! Enjoy the new couch!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Priscilla!
DeleteAhhh 4 giveaways, wow that's so great! You managed to read so much last month just as well, this is so impressive. I hope you'll have a fantastic April :)
ReplyDeleteWHoa congrats on winning 4 give-aways! THat's quite some luck :) We're so excited for endgame as well! Hope your April will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lindsey!
DeleteI can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Au Pair! I am really excited to read that one. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to say I didn't love it, but I think that's an outlier when it comes to this book!
DeleteIt sounds like you had a fun and busy month. Awesome job on the blankets! I filled out a bracket, and I now something about basketball, but my teams got eliminated this weekend, including Duke! ARgh. Another year my brackets busted!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes, when Duke went down, most of the men in the office were eliminated!
DeleteAwesome recap!! It sounds like you had a busy but very exciting month!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing my link <3
It was a great month!
DeleteYou're welcome!
Ooh, congrats on all the giveaway wins! That's so exciting! That's awesome how much you were able to do with Project Linus.
ReplyDeleteMr. Rochester and The Au Pair are ones I still really want to read! Looks you have a really great month--if a bit busy. :) I hope April is great as well!
Thank you so much, Jordan!
DeleteWow, you did have a lot going on this month! I had to laugh at your comment about new furniture. My husband and I are always like that too, with new furniture and with new carpet.
ReplyDeleteHaha, it's so true, though! I want it to look nice for as long as possible!
Deletewow! March has been a super busy month for you! But it sounds like it was exciting. Congrats on winning the giveaways :D hopefully your april will be just as good
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lily!
DeleteFour giveaways in a month? What luck! You read a lot of books this month. I hope you enjoy your April!
ReplyDeleteI know, I was so surprised!
DeleteI hope you love Blood Orange and your month in reads looks SO good, Angela!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! :-)
DeleteFour giveaways, that's awesome! Enjoy your books! That's the thing about new furniture, or new anything really. You're so excited to get it, but then you're so afraid to use it cuz you might ruin it or break it or something lol.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY! Like when I get new clothes and I don't want to wear them because I know I'll spill something on them.
DeleteNew furniture and four wins! You had a great month!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you know you're an adult when you're excited about furniture!
DeleteSounds like you had a super busy month. I too love St. Patrick's Day. I also made corn beef, cabbage, and potatoes. I love it. I buy a few and deep freeze them to have them through out the year. I know about the new furniture but you have to live. I gave up on mine last year. What can you do. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMary
Thanks, Mary! Oh, I agree about the furniture!
