Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is auto-buy authors. There are actually very few authors that I will buy (and usually pre-order) every single book they release - in fact, there are just two:
There are also two series that I've been invested in for a long time and when (if?) the next book is released, I will buy those, too, to complete my collections:
I have a few other favorite authors that I follow closely; I may not buy every book they release, but they are definitely auto-reads for me:
Are any of these authors auto-reads or auto-buys for you, too?
Oooh, I've heard such good things about Daisy Jones -- I haven't got to it yet though.
ReplyDeleteSoo good, highly recommend!
DeleteTaylor Jenkins Reid made my list this week too. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Kate Morton and Taylor Jenkins Reid are both authors whose work I want to try. I've never had much interest in reading A Song of Ice and Fire, but after the show's super disappointing final season I'm wondering if I should start reading the books.
ReplyDeleteI read the books before the show started, and I never got beyond the first season of the show!
DeleteYes! I love Taylor Jenkins Reid and Beatriz Williams - I have read most of their books. I also read my first Fiona Davis book and definitely want to read more. I am patiently waiting on the next Outlander book - one of my favorite series for sure!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I'm wondering where the series will go from the last book, it actually kind of seemed like a good ending!
DeleteAh, I love so many of these authors too!
ReplyDeleteI know!!
DeleteI don’t think I’ll ever read everything George RR Martin writes, but I definitely need to finish the GoT books. I’ve only read the first 3.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Oh, me too, I really have no interest in all the spin-offs, prequels, histories.
DeleteI really enjoyed All We Ever Wanted. And I would love to get my hands on The Golden Hour, it sounds like it would be a really good read.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read The Golden Hour!
DeleteOoh Martin- definitely! If he would ever release The Winds of Winter haha! Taylor Jenkins- Reid is another author- I've only read one of her books, but it was good and I've heard so many good things about her others. I definitely need to read more! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think we're going to be waiting a while for TWOW!
DeleteI hope both of those series are wrapped up soon for you.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
Thanks, Lydia!
DeleteI thought I might see Kate Morton on your list this week! I keep meaning to start Outlander, I've had the first book sitting at my shelves for years staring at me waiting for me to read it. Beatriz WIlliams and Fiona Davis are two authors I'm hoping to check out soon!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm pretty predictable!
DeleteI hope you love all of those!
I adore Kinsella. I still need to try her Wickham books, but I have really enjoyed all her Shopaholic and standalone books.
ReplyDeleteHer Wickham books have a very different feel that I'm not quite sure I like as much as her other books!
DeleteI need to read Kinsella! Also, I love TJR older books so much!
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Whispering Chapters
TJR's new books are really good, too!
DeleteGood luck with George RR Martin! XD I truly hope he completes that series for the sake of his fans.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I agree!
DeleteI see so many people with Louise Penny on their lists and I;ve NEVER read her. I think I need to get going on that!
ReplyDeleteI think you would really like them! Such smart, well-written books.
DeleteI only discovered Taylor Jenkins Reid this year, but she's well on her way to becoming an auto-buy author :)
ReplyDeleteYay!
