This week of Nonfiction November is hosted by Sarah at Sarah's Book Shelves and focuses on fiction/nonfiction book pairings. I loved this week during last year's event and it really inspired me in my blogging this year. I've been making a move towards more mini-reviews and I especially like when I can come up with a theme for the books I'm reviewing; fiction/nonfiction pairings went along with this so well! Here are the pairings I've done:
What do you think of these pairings?
Really good job of pairing these up. I've read a couple of them and see some I still need to read. I tried the Girls of Atomic City but couldn't get through it. I'll have to try again.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't super crazy about that one - the focus felt off!
DeleteLove the pairing of The Sweet Spot with Stay Sweet!
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun one!
DeleteHaha! The Atomic Girls really is a good pairing..right down to the indistinguishable names!
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to check out the book you paired with Bachelor Nation! Bach Nation made my list too - but with different fiction pairings.
Right?? Could those titles be any more similar??
DeleteThat's so fun that we both did a pairing with Bachelor Nation!
Fun pairings, Angela. I keep meaning to get to The Girls of Atomic City. I loved The Code Girls last fall.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie!
DeleteI want to read both of those royal books. They’re on my TBR list. I’d probably like the atomic city and space books, too.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Both the royal books were so great. I think you'd like the space ones, too!
DeleteI'm so glad you reviewed My Lady Jane! I totally want to read it now. I wasn't sure either, but I'm glad to know you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good, one of my favorites of the year!
DeleteGreat job. I'd love to read Princesses behaving badly.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very fun book!
DeleteNice pairings! Princesses Behaving Badly sounds quite interesting!
ReplyDeleteIt really was!
DeleteWow - I usually have trouble coming up with one pairing for this post!
ReplyDeleteHaha, well, I've been working on this all year!
DeleteOooh! I love these pairings. I read and loved Stay Sweet. Going to have to check out your pairing for that one for sure. I read both My Lady Jane and Princesses Behaving Badly and think that pairing is spot on!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dana!
DeleteI've really enjoyed the posts where you've paired up similar themed books. This also reminds me that I still want to read Princesses Behaving Badly.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Suzanne! I've had fun putting them together.
DeleteGreat pairs! I used Bachelor Nation as well, but with a different fiction choice (Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld).
ReplyDeletePrincesses Behaving Badly looks good.
Seems like Bachelor Nation is a really popular one for pairing!
DeleteThis is pretty great idea! I love Sweet Spot with Stay Sweet and My Lady Jane with Princesses Behaving Badly. I find The Girls of Atomic City interesting, I love US History, I find it so interesting.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely week ahead. 💋 xoxo

ReplyDeleteThank you, Kim!
