Top Ten Tuesday: Underrated Books I've Enjoyed

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is books we've loved with fewer than 2,000 ratings on Goodreads.  One of my favorite parts of blogging is bringing some of those underrated, lesser-known books to readers, hoping they will enjoy them as much as I did.  Here is a list of books I've loved that, at the time I'm writing this post, actually all had less than 1,000 ratings on Goodreads!

Avalanche: 138 ratings
Waking the Spirit: 149 ratings

Four Three Two One: 210 ratings

The Heart Between Us: 651 ratings

Ask An Astronaut: 844 ratings

Rutherford Park: 870 ratings
How to Be Married: 999 ratings

Have you read any of these?

  4. I have Four Three Two One on my list too. I loved that book! And, I actually have enjoyed every book I have read by Stevens. The Other Side of Lost is on my favorites shelf - nothing but love for that book. I have read and enjoyed Cozzo's other books, and hope to read Happily at some point, and I was thinking about starting the Fate series too. It sounds really good.

  5. I haven’t read any of these, but I also love discovering underhyped books. Then I get to start the hype myself. :)

  10. numbers 1,2 and 8 sound really interesting. I think I will need another bookcase to accommodate all under-hyped books from this TTT.

  14. I like that aspect about blogging too. I find books through Netgalley and Twitter too, but sometimes after you've seen a book a few times on blogger's pages (for me it often takes a few times unless it really sticks out, LOL) you figure you have to take a look at it.

The only one of these I'm familiar with is The Other Side of Lost.

  18. Talking about books that others may not have read is definitely one of the best things about book blogging... These are all new to me titles, and I'm quite interested in a few of them. Thanks for sharing!

  19. I've heard of a couple of these, but most are new to me. Waking the Spirit appeals to me as a musician. Ask an Astronaut sounds like fun, as does The Sweetest Kind of Fate. Thanks for sharing these underrated books!

    1. Exactly! Sometimes it's nice to be reading what everyone else is reading, but I also like finding less-hyped books, too.

  22. Four Three Two One - I've seen this on Booksandlala BookTube channel and I know she loves that author. So of all the books listed I'm adding this to by TBR since it's now been mentioned by you too!
