Month in Review: January 2026

January was a fairly quiet month.  We all went back to school and work after a nice break.  Work for me was busy as we had a deadline this month that I was involved in.  A big snowstorm dropped almost a foot of snow on us, which is still hanging around because it has been bitterly cold and nothing is melting!  The highlight of the month was a family trip to Medieval Times - our knight didn't win, but we all had a blast!

  2. Looks like a great month! How about that snow?! I wish it would melt. I am so sick of it. My husband read The Wager this month, too. Did you enjoy it?

    1. I can't believe how long this snow is sticking around! The Wager was really good!

  3. I haven't read a single book that you listed, but several look good. Hope your snow goes away. Our ice and sleet finally melted and, of course, we're back to 'warmer than normal' temps. I'm fine with that! LOL

    1. Haha, nice! It's hopefully going to "warm" up this week so we can get rid of some of this snow.

  5. I begged to go to Medieval Times when I was a kid. We never went. I guess it was far away and expensive. I hope you're having a great February!

    1. I only went once that I can remember, and it was actually Tom's first time there!

  6. I have never been to Medieval Times. It looks like fun. The closest I got was a Medieval dinner in a castle in Ireland. Just food and music, no jousting. BOO! This snow needs to melt, but since we cannot get many hours above freezing, it will be hanging around. Again, BOO!

    1. LOL, pretty sure a legit castle in Ireland is better than Medieval Times!

  7. I have never been to Medieval Times, but my nephew went this past year and he said he lost his voice cheering. It must be really fun. Hope you have a good February!
