We recently traveled to Cape Cod for a big family vacation, so you know I had to be on the lookout for indie bookstores while we were there! In downtown Falmouth, we came across Eight Cousins Books!
Eight Cousins Books actually has two storefronts, just a few doors down from one another. I first went to the location that carries books for adults (and also some puzzles and gifts). It's not a huge space, but they manage to pack a lot in! I snagged a holiday romance for later this year! My sister and I went back for a second visit, and she really loved the selection.
After that, I went to their second location, which caters to children! I loved it, a whole store just for children's books, games, and toys! Eight Cousins Kids is quite a bit larger than the other location, and Henry had a great time checking everything out, as you can see in the last picture!
What a fun duo of bookstores! Love it! Looks like Henry was having fun for sure and I have no doubt that you and your sister enjoyed the adult one. I love independent bookstores and visiting them is a highlight of trips and vacations that we take. Have a good reading week, Angela!!
ReplyDeleteI try to find indie bookstores when I travel as well. I tend to connect the books I buy there with the visit, which makes it even more special.
ReplyDeleteBoth Eight Cousins stores look so inviting and well-stocked.
I love that they have two storefronts close together, one for adults and one for children. That's so clever actually!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I have never been to Cape Cod, but I really want to go. I adore both of those bookstores....beautiful spots! You can't go wrong with books at the beach.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I was there to make recommendations to the other patrons.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that they have a store for adults and one for kids! Both of the stores look nice and cozy too :)
