We recently took a trip to Peddler's Village in Lahaska, PA, for the Strawberry Festival, and of course we had to stop at the Lahaska Bookshop while we were there! The original store opened in Doylestown in 1998 and this sister store opened in 2017. They are currently owned by local residents.
Two entrances flank a large picture window.
When you enter the store, you're greeted by a light, bright, inviting space. There are lots of display tables for special collections and items.
The store is actually quite large, and this room extends down a couple stairs.
I couldn't explore as much as I wanted because I had my little tornado with me, but we had fun! He picked out a book about Spiderman, so he was happy. Besides books, they also have some toys, games, puzzles, and gift items. If you ever find yourself in Peddler's Village, I highly recommend stopping by!
This was a great store!
ReplyDeleteI loved it!
DeleteVery nice and definitely appealing. I love visiting bookstores on any travels that we take. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I always look them up ahead of time, if I can, so I can make sure we plan to stop by.
DeleteWhat a pretty little shop, and a strawberry festival sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteEven though the weather wasn't great, it was a fun day!
DeleteThis store indeed looks super bright and inviting! Glad to hear you had fun :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lindsey!
DeleteAhhh! My heart skipped a beat when I saw this bookshop. I know it very well! We always stop here when visiting Peddler's Village. My boys LOVE the scarecrow festival - have you been there during the autumn season? It's like walking through Stars Hollow. I adore this bookshop. We haven't been in a few years - this is a great reminder to head back! I hope you enjoyed your visit.
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't been to Peddler's Village in years! I think the last time I went, this store wasn't even there. But I do want to get out there again, it's such an easy drive from where we live, and hopefully attend some more events there.
DeleteIt's so cute! Every time you post these, it makes me wish we had bookstores where I live.
ReplyDeleteHaha, aw thanks, Aj!
