Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is books we recommend to others the most. I thought this was an interesting topic because no matter how many books I read or how old they get, I often fall back on the same recommendations. Here are a few of my go-to recommendations:
Nonfiction
Science Fiction
Fantasy
Romance/Women's Fiction
Historical Fiction
Mystery/Thriller
The Nightingale definitely bears recommending. I think it's still Hannah's best. Such a powerful story.
ReplyDeleteThe Nightingale is one I would stand behind too. I am not even a historical fiction fan, and I was captivated by this story. I really embraced the resilience of the human spirit that Hannah captured.
ReplyDeleteThese are all excellent recommendations. I loved so many of these, especially The Nightingale and The Distant Hours. Would you believe I haven't read Penny yet?!?!
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was looking for The Devil in the White City on the audiobook platform I use but they didn't have it. And now I'm sad!
ReplyDeleteStill Life was interesting for sure.

Blake Crouch was, far and away, my favorite new-to-me author in 2022. He is something else! My own TTT is here.
ReplyDeleteSo many great recommendations on here! I've read several and would also recommend them.
ReplyDeleteDark Matter is one of my favorite books!
ReplyDeleteI've read one of Kate Morton's books and I've wanted to read more for a while. Thanks for the reminder. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/books-i-recommend-to-others-the-most/
ReplyDeleteI am the same -- I have my go-to as well. and I recommend the Da Vinci code too!
ReplyDeleteAwesome list! I've read all of these but the Giffin and the Gregory books. Kate Morton and Louise Penny are two of my all-time favorite authors. I've loved all of Hannah's recent ones as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I just finished The Devil In The White City! I loved it.
ReplyDeleteInto Thin Air is a good one! I also loved The Other Boleyn Girl, Philippa Gregory is such a go-to for historical fiction. I still really need to read Dark Matter!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good list! I loved Something Borrowed, and others by Emily Griffin too.
ReplyDeleteThe Nightingale made my list too. I've loved everything I've read from Hannah but that one is still the stand-out for me.
ReplyDeleteI've had The Nightingale on my TBR for a while but still haven't got around to it, I really need to one of these days. The Night Circus wasn't the one for me, too description heavy and not enough plot but I know I'm definitely a bit of an outlier in not loving that one.

I really don't think you can go far wrong with any of these. Erik Larson is a big favorite with me.
ReplyDeleteThe Night Circus is such a good fantasy read indeed!
