Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is our favorite books of 2017 - back in June I made a list of my favorite books of the year so far, so today I want to list my favorite reads from the second half of the year!
What were some of your favorites of the year?
"Daughter of the Pirate King" has a really interesting synopsis, I don`t know why I haven`t picked it up yet.
ReplyDeleteCarmen`s Reading Corner
It was a really fun book!
DeleteI still need to read Daughter of the Pirate King. Seeing it on your "best of" list definitely gives me added motivation to bump it up on my reading list. Great list!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I hope you love it!
DeleteInto the Water and The Summer House are ones I want to get to! Glad you liked them!
ReplyDeleteBoth good choices - enjoy them!
DeleteAH! I haven't read any of these yet! Looks like I need to add them to my TBR :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, yay!
DeleteI never did get to Into the Water. And Daughter of the Pirate King looks pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteI would highly recommend both of them!
DeleteWow, I've read none of these books! How to Disappear and Daughter of a Pirate King are both on my TBR list. Hopefully, I'll get to them by the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteYay, I hope you get to them, too! Especially How to Disappear!
DeleteI'm glad to see "Into the Water" on your list. This one has been on my TBR for several months now already but I've seen quite a lot of people who were pretty disappointed by this book, especially in comparison to Paula Hawkins' first novel. So it's good to get a little encouragement from your list, hopefully I will pick it up soon! :)
ReplyDeleteHere are my favorite books of 2017 so far
I would say, go into it with as few preconceived notions as possible! I loved her first book, but this one is very different!
DeleteI have a copy an audio book of Into the Water, I've tried a couple of times to listen to it. I want to pick up the physical book and read it, it is one of my anticipated read for the year. Daughter of a Pirate King is one that I think would be really good too. You have a great list there!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you like Into The Water - I know it's gotten some mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed it.
DeleteDaughter of The Pirate King was on my list this week too!

DeleteThe only one of these I've read is Rebecca, though not this year. Looking forward to The Confusion of Languages sometime in 2018... loved Fallon's previous book. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I should add Fallon's other book to my TBR. I was really impressed with The Confusion of Languages.
DeleteRebecca is so good! I need to re-read that one sometime.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I finally got around to reading Rebecca!
DeleteI haven't done my favorites of 2017 yet, but I see two of mine on your list, and I am so happy you loved them!!! I want more people to fangirl over How to Disappear with me. I thought that book was perfect.
ReplyDeleteYay, I'm glad we have some books in common! I really loved How to Disappear; the tone and message were so great.
DeleteI just discovered Louise Penny's Armand Gamache books recently, and the first book, Still Life, made my list of favorites. I'm planning to read the rest of the series ASAP. Here's my list from today.
ReplyDeleteThe series is so good! I hope you love it!
DeleteFantastic list! I really liked A Touch of Stardust as well and you know how much I adored The Summer House! The Daughter of the Pirate King was also a fun read. I have been meaning to read Rebecca. I need to make time to do so in 2018!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I waited so long to read Rebecca!
DeleteYes to Daughter of the Pirate King! I need book 2 asap!
ReplyDeleteOnly a couple more months!
DeleteI think Death in the Air will probably make my top 10 list too :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I have a review coming up in a couple weeks. I'm glad I liked this one so much, I've been trying to read more nonfiction!
