It's Week 2 of Nonfiction November and this week's topic is hosted by Sarah at Sarah's Book Shelves! I think this week is my favorite of all the themes of Nonfiction November - fiction/nonfiction book pairings! I was so inspired by this topic during my first time doing #NonficNov that I now regularly try to incorporate it into my blogging and book reviews during the rest of the year. So, here are the pairings I came up with!
Have you read any of these?
I must admit, How to be Parisian sounds like it could be fun!
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I was disappointed with it, but that could just be me, it had pretty high ratings on Goodreads.
DeleteWhat a fun challenge. I love trying to find relationships between books and these fiction/non-fiction pairings are fantastic. I know I wouldn't have been able to do this. I have read the Strohm book. She's a favorite of mine, and I like that we got to "see" a bit of Paris when I read that book
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I'll read anything set in Paris or Paris-related!
DeleteCool post topic! I haven’t read any of these, but I want to read Fatal Throne. The cover is awesome, and I love books about history.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks, Aj! Fatal Throne was pretty good!
DeleteThese all look fantastic!!! I love how this is something you do regularly!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove this challenge idea! I've seen How to Be Parisian before and it looks like such a fun read.

It was a miss for me, but lots of other people have loved it!
DeleteLove your foodie suggestions, I think I'd enjoy both of those!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
DeleteNice work. The Perfect Storm was fantastic
ReplyDeleteIt was really good!
DeleteI'm afraid I haven't read any of these, but I am always interested in Tudor book recommendations, thank you. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I'll read anything Tudor-related, too!
DeleteHah, I did an Anne Boleyn pairing a few years ago. Great minds think alike... https://julzreads.com/2013/11/18/nonfiction-november-book-pairing/
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's awesome!
Deleteohhh! The Wallis book --- sound like something I'd really enjoy (I can't get enough of the Royals!) along with The Perfect Storm. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christina!
DeleteGreat list! Loved The Paris Wedding! I Would like to pick The Golden Hour, maybe soon if my library would ever have a copy.
ReplyDeleteI really liked The Golden Hour; I've loved most of her books!
DeleteLove the fiction/nonfiction pairings, Angela! I’ve always thought Wallis Simpson was fascinating but I haven’t read either of those books yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya! It was so interesting learning about Wallis.
DeleteI love your pairings and how you titled them. Paris is my favorite place on Earth, so I really need to check out those two books.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie!
DeleteNo, I haven't, but your storm edition sounds great
ReplyDeleteNice pairings! The Golden Hour looks fabulous and How To Be Parisian sounds super interesting.
ReplyDeleteLove a la Mode- great cover!
I love that cover, too!
DeleteThese look like great pairings. The Parisian ones caught my attention right away!
ReplyDeleteNice, thank you!
DeleteYou managed to find something for every book. Well done. Beatriz Williams seems to write stories that lend themselves to a nice pairing, I think.
ReplyDeleteShe does - she always has great settings and characters.
DeleteI haven’t read any of these and I enjoyed your pairings, thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Hannah! Haha, it really makes this week a lot easier for me to put together!
DeleteI love that you regularly pair fiction & nonfiction now! I'm intrigued by the storm titles. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Jaymi!
DeleteOoh! I love this!! I haven't read any of these, but I'll definitely be checking a few out! I need to work on my non-fiction reading, and paring them with fiction sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Erica!
DeleteI would love to learn more about Wallis Simpson, so I'm particularly interested in that pairing, but these all look good!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, Wallis Simpson was quite an interesting character!
