I honestly can barely think of what happened this month! The biggest thing going on right now is my mom's upcoming move. She planned on retiring next year and moving to Oklahoma (where my brother lives), but she accelerated her plans over the summer and is now leaving in October. So, this month was filled with garage sales, packing, and purging. We've lived a mile away from her for 5 years now, so it's going to be a big adjustment for us!
Other than that, it's been pretty quiet. I'm glad the fall weather has arrived! Henry and I have been going for lots of walks. He's still going weekly to physical therapy and his helmet comes off soon! He's making lots more sounds, some that actually almost sound like words (finally babbling "mamama"!). Pretty exciting stuff, haha!

Aww, I'm glad Henry is doing well! Enjoy the fall weather. I'm so happy that it's not a billion degrees anymore.
ReplyDeleteAhh, me too! I love cooler weather.
DeleteBaby babble is the best! That's quite a move your mom is embarking on. I guess you will be visiting OK more?
ReplyDeleteYes, we will definitely have to plan more trips down there, and hopefully she can come visit here, too!
DeleteAww that's sweet. :) Sorry t ohear about your mom moving though, I imagine that will be an adjustment!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of thinking the Daughter of Dr. Moreau sounds good!

DeleteI hope your mom's move goes smoothly. Yay for all of Henry's progress! I always loved all of the baby chatter when mine was that age. So cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute hearing him over the monitor in the morning, talking to himself!
DeleteI can imagine that'll be a huge adjustment with your mom moving further away - hope her move will go smoothly though! And glad to hear Henry's doing well! Hope you'll have a great October!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Lindsey! I'm not looking forward to her being so far away, but I have to trust in the decision!
DeleteI have Accomplished. Not sure if I'll like it or not, but it sounds fun. Hope all goes well with your mom. Despite the change, I hope she enjoys a slower pace and doing whatever hobbies she enjoys best. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's been looking forward to retirement for quite some time, and she'll be able to spend lots of time with our nephews, too, which will be nice.
DeleteI'm really curious about It Happened One Summer and I feel like the cover for The Daughter of Doctor Moreau looks amazing <3
ReplyDeleteIt Happened One Summer was SOOO good!
DeleteWow! Oklahoma! That will be a big change for sure. I listened to It Happened One Summer at the beginning of September and it was so much fun! Felt like an episode of Schitt's Creek! I am curious about your thoughts on The Woman in the Library.
ReplyDeleteYes, big changes for everyone! Loved One Summer and The Woman in the Library was such a surprising read.
DeleteWow, busy month, and definitely a big change! Hope the move and everything goes well. :) And hooray for Henry! That's wonderful news.
ReplyDeleteThank so much, Jordan!
DeleteWow, your mom's plans really moved up. I'm sure that will be a big adjustment (for both of you). I haven't got to that Meghan Quinn book yet but it's on my TBR.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was kind of a surprise to us; she met with a realtor in August to see what she could list her house for, and just a couple weeks later it was sold.
