Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by
The Broke and the Bookish. This week is a freebie, so I thought it would be a perfect time to do a topic I've been thinking about doing anyway. After several years of wearing him down, I've finally convinced my husband to go to Las Vegas. The casinos, the shows, the Bellagio fountains, the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon - I'm so excited! So this week, I wanted to put together a list of books inspired by our upcoming trip, books set in or about Sin City! Viva Las Vegas!
Ah that's so great that you'll get to visit Las Vegas! It's definitely on my bucket list as well :) Hope you'll enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm really looking forward to it!
DeleteThis is such a great list! The majority of American literature that I read is set in New York, so it's nice to be able to see a range of books set in another location.
ReplyDeleteIf you're interested in free verse, I'd recommend reading Ellen Hopkins 'Tricks' duology - it's upper-YA, but it's set in Las Vegas and it uses it in a very interesting way.
Hope you have fun on your trip! :)
Thank you for the recommendation!
DeleteGreat topic this week! I've always wanted to go to Vegas, probably because of my obsession with CSI, haha, but haven't made it there yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love CSI, too!!
DeleteWhat a great topic, and how exciting that you're going to Vegas! I haven't read any of these. Have you read any of the books in the Lucky O'Toole series? They're set in Vegas, and they're a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT. Hope you're having a great week! :-)
