June was a nice month - we had visits from all of Henry's grandparents at one point or another. Tom and I took some time while Henry was at daycare to go see Jurassic World: Dominion - gonna be honest, definitely not my favorite of the series, but I'll never not watch a Jurassic Park movie. We celebrated Tom's first Father's Day with a quiet day at home. And now it's time for my monthly Henry update, LOL! Sorry to everyone who doesn't want to hear about the goings on of a 7-month-old! I woke up at 5:45am one day to Henry babbling on the monitor - and saw he was on his stomach! We have a roller! I saw him do it one more time a couple days later during tummy time, but he hasn't been too forthcoming with it. I think the helmet hinders him a little. Speaking of the helmet, he had a great evaluation at the end of the month; he is really making a lot of progress. He's also been working on sitting up by himself; he's doing really good except for when he gets overexcited and throws himself backwards! Unfortunately, he got pinkeye and an ear infection, along with a lot of congestion, the last week of the month, so we've been dealing with that. It's the first time he's really been sick like this, and it's hard not to feel helpless as a mom when you can't make them feel better right away.

It was so good!
DeleteNice read your family update and glad you guys have gotten to see loved ones. As to Henry, he sounds just precious! Yes, it's tough when they are sick. You never really quite forget those times, especially when you can't fix things immediately. All will be well though. You just rock and hug and maybe sing them a little song. Take care and hope you guys have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kay! He definitely had a lot of time where he just needed to be held, and I was happy to oblige!
DeleteI love your Henry updates! Poor guy with the pinkeye and ear infection, hope he feels better too–and that you do also! I can only imagine how difficult it would be have a sick child, but you're doing awesome. Glad to hear everything is going well otherwise. :) I had a lot of fun with A Spindle Splintered!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the kind words, Jordan!
DeleteSounds like you had a great reading month.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the sickness of the little one, it's always so hard to feel we can't do more for them. Enjoy your July books!
Thanks, Emma!
DeleteI always want to get the baby updates. It's so exciting to see your kids growing and changing. I still talk about mine and she's 27. You started the Getting Lucky books! I hope they are hits for you. I adore that series.
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks, Sam! Haha, I will never get tired of talking about him!
DeleteThat's so exciting about Henry! Big milestones. :) And I've heard that about Jurassic World: Dominion, that it's not the best one lol. Still looking forward to seeing it though!
ReplyDeleteHave a great 4th!
It feels like something new every day! Haha, enjoy Jurassic World!
DeleteWould you believe I've never seen any Jurassic Park movies? Sorry this one wasn't your fave, but it can still be fun at least when it's a series you enjoy! Aww yay about the rolling!
ReplyDeleteWhat?? At least see the original movie. It holds up so well!
DeleteLooks like you had some fun, romantic read this month. I hope your little one feels better soon. Happy July!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alicia!
DeleteAww! It sounds like Henry is growing up so quickly and I hope he is feeling better! It must be nice for you to have a little time just for yourselves. I have to catch up on all the Jurassic movies. They are perfect for summer! :)
ReplyDeleteHe really is growing up so fast! Yes, it was nice that we were able to take some time to even just go see a movie!
DeleteWell I, for one, love all of the Henry updates. It's so fun watching babies hit those big milestones. :)
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks, Suzanne!
DeleteAww, I hope Henry feels better soon! I remember Brooklyn's first illness. It was terrifying, even though it wasn't very serious. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's just so hard because they can't communicate with you!
DeleteYay on the little roller! And I'm sorry to hear Henry isn't feeling the best. I see it with a friend of mine who is a mommy of a little 4-month-old; the little one was so sick recently and she felt so helpless!
ReplyDeleteHopefully July will be a month with 0 sick days for your little boy!
Thank you, Esther, I hope so, too!
