Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is comfort reads. For this one, I perused my shelves for those books I keep going back to, time and time again. I love these stories and I'll never get tired of them.
What are your comfort reads?
The Runaway Princess sounds like a nice romp. And, of course, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThe Runaway Princess is just pure escapism for me!
DeleteThe Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a great choice!

Thank you!
DeleteThe Runaway Princess does sound fun! My comfort read is The Dark is rising series -- carried those books through too many moves to ever give them up!
ReplyDeleteRight?? If you hang on to books that long, they have to be good.
DeleteHenry’s Sisters looks like a good read.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It really is! Definitely lots of tears, though!
DeleteI've read The Selection which I loved at the time but I wasn't a fan of the other books. I've only read the original trilogy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I read one book beyond the original trilogy and gave up!
DeleteOh, The Selection is definitely such a great pick! I loved that series when I first read it, and a re-read actually sounds really good right now :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteOh I think Narnia would be an nice comfort read. For sure. And I think I saw The Other Boleyn Girl movie, but haven't read the book.
ReplyDeleteI love Narnia because you can read deeply into it or just surface-enjoy it as a classic fantasy!
DeleteTotally agree on The Other Boleyn Girl and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe! The Runaway Princess looks like it'd be a lot of fun, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jordan!
DeleteAww, Narnia! Used to love those books so much. It's been WAY too long since I read one, and in fact, I still need to go and read the rest; I only read the ones as they adapted them. Love The Runaway Princess too! Such a fun one. :) Thanks for visiting Finding Wonderland this week, Angela.
ReplyDeleteThe whole series is good, although I have my favorites!
DeleteI forgot about The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I loved that book when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteI didn't read it until I was an adult, but I love it!
DeleteThe nostalgia I feel when I think of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteIt's just such a lovely story!
DeleteI have read a few books by Ahern, but not that one. I am intrigued by the synopsis though.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd really like this one, Sam!
DeleteThe Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is definitely a comfort read for me. Probably my most re-read book.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so great to hear! I haven't read it in awhile, but now I want to read it again.
DeleteHmm my comfort reads... definitely the Little House series. And anything by Barbara Michaels. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never actually read the Little House series!
DeleteWow, seeing The Selection really takes me back. :) That was one of those love-hate series for me - but I could not stop reading it. LOL
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know! It's not that it's such great writing - it's just a really entertaining story!
