Book Haul #6: The Christmas and Kindle Edition

The end of the year always seems to be a big time for me in acquiring new books, and this most recent holiday season was no exception.  I received a few of my favorites of the year (which I won't recap here), but I was also gifted a few surprise books that will be really helpful in the coming months.  Plus, as a new Kindle owner, I went a little crazy downloading some books courtesy of some Amazon credits!  Here are some new additions to my shelves and where I got them from:

Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win (my sister) // Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore (Little Free Library) // Little Women (purchased)

As for my Kindle acquisitions...

Have you gotten any new books recently?

  2. Alright! Training for 5K. You go! I had my eye on Rewrite the Stars. Sounds really promising. As with all CoHo books, I cried while reading It Ends with Us. I think I cried more, when I read her author's note. I hope you enjoy them all

  3. Very nice! I'm a Kindle lover and have been for years. These days, I read most of my print books on my Kindle and I don't see that changing. As so many are sick in our area, I've not been eager to check out books from the library, but I can download to my Kindle from the library without germs. Ha! Good luck with your 5K and hiking books. I try to walk a 5K most days - don't run, but I that's just about the right length for a walk for me.

  5. Oh Kindle books - Amazon basically knows now if a book is marked $2.99 or less, I will almost always buy it. Now I need to start reading some of them.

  6. I hope you enjoy all these! I probably should have done some reading about running. I just jumped into it with no preparation a few years ago.

  11. Oh I need to reread Little Women with the movie now out... I read it a long time ago but hardly remember anything. Looking forward to hearing what you think about the Colleen Hoover book, I tried one book of her that I wasn't such a big fan of, but I really want to try another one, so maybe It Ends With Us could be a better fit :)

  12. The holidays see an uptick in my book acquisitions, too. Oh neat. I see a couple I want to read, too. I like the practical local hiking guides. I'll have to see if they have one for my area. Enjoy your books!

  18. Congratulations on getting a new Kindle! One of the things I love about Kindle is taking advantage of the $1.99 and $2.99 books they often have. This weekend I got The Bride Test for $1.99! I hope you love having one as much as I do.
